
Sara Renstrom, Guest Instructor
Sara began taking classes at Stratford Academy of Dance at age four and attended the school for fourteen years, training in an array of dance techniques. While a student at S.A.D., she was a member of the Company for six years and acted as an assistant teacher to various faculty members for seven years. Sara recently graduated summa cum laude from Dean College where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Dance, minor in Psychology, and was a member of their National Honor Society, Phi Theta Kappa. At Dean, Sara trained in ballet, jazz, tap, and hip-hop, as well as Horton, Limon, Dunham, and Graham modern techniques. Additionally, she took courses in Pedagogy, Dance Composition, Dance History, Anatomy, Kinesiology, Nutrition, and Music. Sara has been selected twice to be a part of The Ailey School's Summer Intensive at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre in New York City. In the summer of 2008, she attended the school where she trained in Horton, ballet, hip-hop, and jazz. Sara is currently serving as the choreographer for the musicals of the Student Theatre Arts Guild of Entertainment at Bunnell High School.
