Wendi Zdru, Company and Recreational Instructor
Wendi is having her 20th anniversary with the Stratford Academy of Dance this season, 2008-2009. As a student, Wendi was a member of the Competition Dance Team for nine years. She has been teaching for the past eight years and has instructed Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, and Jazett, both on Recreational and Company levels. Wendi has continued her education throughout the years with master classes and workshops. Throughout the years as a Competition choreographer, her students have won awards such as “Most Entertaining” and high score awards. Most recently for the 2008 dance season, 1st place 8 and under group at “Access Broadway” comp., overall high score level 1 solo 12 and under “That’s Entertainment” comp., 2nd place junior lyrical soloist, 1st place junior small group, and Best costume and Best Choreography for her Intermediate Lyrical Company at “Hollywood Vibe” comp., just to name a few. Wendi holds her A.S. in Business from Housatonic Comm. College and her B.A. in Business from Southern Conn. State University and currently holds a position for Carters brand Corporate Headquarters.
